American Steamship Co. first to use new solution

Wärtsilä said its new SmartMove Suite is a unique pairing of sensor tech with navigation systems for semi-autonomous ship movement.

Fully retrofittable, the SmartMove Suite can improve existing vessels with next-generation capabilities to improve safety, efficiency and productivity on the water, the company said.
