Compressor For Fuel Cells

Liebherr Components has delivered a compact, high-speed electrical compressor for the new generation P390 proton exchange membrane fuel cell system used on the municipal sanitation medium-duty trucks SAIC MAXUS FKY311 and FKY312 by SAIC Yuejin.

The compressor has been delivered to China-based fuel cell system integrator SHPT, that has reported the first successful test of the trucks off the assembly line. The FKY311 and FKY312 can cover a range of over 400 km and can be cold-started at low temperatures up to -30 °C.
